This festival is held every year and provides some events for attendees. This year over 280 amateur and professional French horn players participated in the festival.

Fortunately, I got an invitation to be a gest speeker at the festival. Then, I presented our latest research with 3 members of my research support team.

The lecture title was "Approach for Development of French Horn Playing". I reported our latest study for mouthpiece force and conducted a "live" experiment. To my delight, many French horn players participated in this event.

Before the live experiment, attendees predicted the results of the experiment for the relationship between sound and mouthpiece force, and they voted their predictions via our website. These were the questions we presented.
Q1.What do you think the mouthpiece force will be when we play a high note?
Q2.What do you think the mouthpiece force will be when we play loudly?
Their predictions were as follows.

A live experimient was then conducted, and attendees confirmed these results.
Two professional French horn players participated in the experiment.

All attendees were surprised with the results of the experiment and professional players' sound. After the live experiment, I concluded my presentation with a question and answer session. It was a fruitful event for me because there were many good opinions in this session.

I would like to thank the attendees, Japan Horn Society and my resarch team for their support of my study.
